Dr. Paul Ulrich is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in total hip and knee replacement, complex revision procedures, and fracture care. He brings advanced training in anterior hip replacement and kinematic alignment for knee replacement - techniques that restore natural movement and improve long-term outcomes. A native of Sylva, Dr. Ulrich earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Alabama, and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at McLaren Greater Lansing in Michigan. He completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute, where he specialized in hip and knee replacement and complex revision surgery, training under nationally recognized leaders in the field of orthopedic surgery.
